I work with clients to:

  • research, write and edit communications products such as speeches, media releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, newsletters, video and PowerPoint products, website texts, op-eds, articles and related materials for use in traditional and new media;

  • research, write and edit policy and program documents, such as Reports on Plans and Priorities, Departmental Performance Reports to Parliament and business plans; and

  • develop communications strategies.

I have experience with fields including: economics, innovation and productivity; labour market policy and programs; immigration and citizenship issues; ethics; social policy issues; international affairs; the environment; cultural trade; and health.

 

Clients include the International Labour Organization, the Senate Ethics Officer, the Ethics Commissioner, and Ministers and senior officials in federal departments and agencies such as Industry, Environment, Health, Human Resources and Social Development, Indian and Northern Affairs, National Research Council, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and Library and Archives.

Senior Briefing Advisor

  • Analyzed issues to establish policy and communications strategies for Ministers and senior officials for Cabinet and Senate committees, meetings and public appearances

  • Managed legislative processes and trained departmental staff on parliamentary practice and briefing note preparation

  • Created a strategic process to ensure effective visits by Ministers in Canada and internationally
